BOOK: Living Water 2009: bible reflections for today's catholic publisher by Springs Foundation Inc. ; Didi MaraƱon.
A friend of mine who was hired to run a household and take care of two little children was prevailed upon to take care of an old, sick man during an emergency. As my friend entered the house she was in an awe thinking the old man would be in a wheelchair, an IV with him with a lot of medication and couldn't even walk, move or remember things anymore. And the children being bratty kids just running around the house making a mess. Basically she expected a family with the type who doesn't care for their kids so they would just be given whatever that they want and the old man just being waited to expire. She witnessed the exact opposite and little did she know this would change her life. She entered the kids not around, the house very clean and quite and as she kept going in she heard someone in a room, the 2 kids one girl who is 8 and a little boy who was 4 just with the old man in the room reading and hanging around. she went in and introduced herself and what she was there for and the three welcomed her well. As time passed she didnt even notice the old man was sick because he really looked healthy, his sickness was something the old man brushes off and continue with life. Let God take him naturally. As time passed my friend got close to the family as if it were hers. As she got close to them she found out their story and why she was hired, The parents of the two children passed away through an accident and the only relative they knew was the grandfather. The grandfather was actually the one that hired her just in case his time came. My friend fell in love with those kids and as time passed of fun and love, the old man was getting sicker as the days passed. When the old man's time came my friend didn't know what to do. She wondered to herself why the old man chose her , maybe God chose her specifically. In the end she adopted those two children and till now they are one happy family.

No more Birthdays
I NEVER want to go pass 19 years old but that doesn't mean I want to die now! (please knock on wood). This 2010, I am already turning 20 on August and don't get me wrong birthdays are fun but everything just comes back to me being a teen and its been so much fun! :) I don't want to be an adult because that means more responsibility and no more excuse to act like a teenager, more of being serious. I want time to slow down and I want to do the things that I was not able to do as a "tween" a teen and almost an adult stage of the teenager interval. I am scared to grow old because there are so much things in life that I want to do i just hope this whole phase of 2012 being the end of the world doesn't come true.
Artist Date
For my date with myself, i baked chocolate chip cookies. I never really did this because I never had the patience for it, I'd usually be the one to eat what my friends bake. I used the "easy-step" process in baking cookies, like the type you just add water and eggs, mix then form. As I have mentioned I never really had the patience for this so i thought of a compromise. While I was baking alone, i thought of many different random things. At first, i thought of course the procedure and getting it right. Second, the part where I was thinking of random things was the mixing part and forming, since I was doing something repetitive my mind strayed away from it and thought of other things, especially with the silence. I thought of my upcoming football game with our biggest competitor and winning against them, i thought of school work and if I had to do something rather than bake (thank God there wasn't), thought of shopping and what I maybe want, I thought of what I would do while waiting for the cookies to bake, wondered if the cookies would taste okay etc. It felt relieving in a way because I got to somehow organize priorities and feel a bit risky because it is something that you haven't done and for the first time you are just making guesses if you are doing the right thing. It is a good way for me to get to know myself because by doing something I don't do, I tend to experiment on myself to the extent and learn something new.

Phones
I HAVE NEVER bought myself or asked my mom to buy me a brand new cellphone. I just don't think its practical to buy one just for the sake of its model. Just as long as i can communicate with other people then I am fine with that. I did have new phones but that's because of my plan which every 2 years I think, offers different selected model phones for free and i just choose the most stable one. I am not really careful with my phones, maybe that's one reason, I always tend to drop it or scratch it. Even if I try to take care of it really well, I am just a natural klutz with phones but no matter how much I drop my past phones it still seems to work that's why i choose the stable one's. Also, I am not into gadgets my fetish is more on for clothes that's why I don't prefer that area of needs.
Not a Lover for Chocolates
I HAVE NEVER met anyone that's not into chocolate as I do besides my family. Its not that I hate it or despise it, I just don't prefer it. My family is very much into fruits, for dessert we don't like eating cakes or pastries that much we'd rather have fruit salad or a fruit in general. Especially my friends, they find it weird when I resist on this very "tempting" candy. When we have chocolates at home my family barely touches it but the people who finishes it are my friends :) I have one friend who goes gaga for chocolates, she eats very healthy but when it comes to dessert..its like her main course :) I don't get it though, when I do eat chocolate or when I crave for it I'm already good with like 1 or 2 small squares of chocolate after that I would look for something salty right away, I just feel very thirsty when i eat chocolate. I guess there are only a few of us in the world maybe, who would not make the chocolate industry that happy :)) maybe this is a way for me to balance myself since chocolate for others is like junk food to me, chips is the one thing I cant resist :)
Blogging
I HAVE NEVER ever had a blog before so this thing is very new to me, as i think on what to do with a blog i try to compare it to maybe a diary with guide questions, basically reading a certain topic and just talk about it freely with my own perspective or my own way.
Why do people blog? maybe because people have no one to vent out what they truly feel or maybe they try to relate to other people in a huge medium in connecting people everywhere. Blogging is something different from other applications such as facebook, multiply, twitter etc. just cause this application (blogging) allows you to have an online "diary" of everything you have to say or what you feel, since this is the new generation and kids tend to rely on the internet with almost everything and spend their time mostly in front of the computer or laptop. Whatever the reason may be, through the whole process of blogging, I, maybe might find the thrill in blogging.
